The mission of the CommunityAid Foundation is to build efficiency with local nonprofit partners addressing barriers to housing, food, and basic needs.

 

The CommunityAid Foundation prioritizes support in the following three focus areas:

By supporting organizations that empower individuals to meet their basic needs, we believe that the community as a whole will grow stronger in return.

  • What is the CommunityAid Foundation?

    Our three-handed logo represents our three major areas of our mission: the green is our shoppers, donors, stores and donation centers, the red is our people, and the blue is our partners. The Foundation is an expansion of that blue hand and the impact that we’re making in the community.

  • ...But haven't you always given away money?

    Since 2009, CommunityAid has given more than $20 million to local nonprofit organizations through sales of YOUR donations. But, with the launch of the Foundation, we aim to do even MORE!

  • How is the Foundation different?

    Through the CommunityAid Foundation, we are aiming to grow our local nonprofit partner support even more by offering more funding opportunities and tools that save time and organizational costs for those partners.

  • As a partner, what can I expect through the launch of the Foundation?

    Your mission should be your main focus. As a Nonprofit Product Partner, you can look forward to unrestricted funds and tools to decrease the burden of back office obligations, so you can concentrate on what you do best.

  • As a supporter, what can I expect through the Foundation?

    As a shopper or donor, we want you to feel even better about your experience at CommunityAid, knowing that your purchases and donations directly contribute to this innovative approach to philanthropy.

    Our local impact, it starts with YOU!
    WORK - SHOP - DONATE - PARTNER
    Stop by any of our 7 thrift stores and donation centers to donate clothing, shoes, household items, or drop off items at our bins, apply for one of our open positions, and, if you are a nonprofit, become one of our partners, …there are so many ways to get involved and help support our mission.
