Donate Goods

When you donate your gently used clothing and goods to CommunityAid, you’re keeping the impact of your donations local to benefit the livelihood of your own neighbors. Donating to CommunityAid is easy, fun, and meaningful, with drop off options that accommodate you and your schedule. Learn more about these options and unique benefits to our community below.

Donate at the Store

Donating at the store is the perfect excuse to refresh your wardrobe while showing support for your favorite nonprofit!

Every store has its own Donation Center that is open Monday-Saturday from 9 am - 6 pm. No appointment required! Simply follow the signs in the parking lot to the drive-up Donation Center and one of our friendly associates will greet you outside to help unload your car.

Our Donation Centers are the only place that will accept anything on our wish list that’s not clothing or shoes.

Did you know? When you drop off at any of our Donation Centers, you can choose to credit your goods to one of our 500+ nonprofit partners!

That’s right… your unwanted items turn into direct financial support for your favorite local nonprofit organization! Simply search for your organization of choice in our Nonprofit Partner Database and provide it to our associate at drop off. Doing good while cleaning out… what’s better than that?!

Donate at a Bin

Donating at a Bin is a fast, easy, and convenient alternative to giving new life to your gently used goods. Our 350+ Bins are located throughout Central PA. Chances are, there is a Bin right in your neighborhood!

Not only are our Bins convenient, they still make a major impact to our nonprofit partners! Each Bin represents a nonprofit Bin Partner that receives financial support per pound of clothing and shoes collected during each weekly servicing.

Ready to donate your clothing and shoes into a bin? Find your closest bin using the map below!

Please help us keep our Bin program successful by adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Only place clothing and shoes in the Bin. Household and other goods should be dropped off at a store Donation Center. This is to prevent the items from breaking as well as to avoid overcrowding in the Bins.

  • Do NOT leave items outside of the Bin whatsoever. If a Bin is full, please bring your donation to a Donation Center or hang onto your items until the Bin is emptied again. By leaving your items outside of the Bin, they are deemed as trash and are unusable. This trash cost accrues for us and decreases our impact on the community. It also significantly hinders our nonprofit partners’ very important work by needing to attend to overflow.

Thank you for your understanding and support of these requests!

Find your neighborhood CommunityAid Bin!

And remember… Room in the bin? Put it in! Can’t fit anymore? Take it to the store!

Thank you for helping us maintain our Bin program for the benefit of our neighbors and partners.
