- Working with communities and other agencies to fight the spread, manage the impact of HIV/AIDS and promote reproductive health: We have cut a niche in HIV/AIDS community based and workplace programming. CAI has worked with UN agencies over the years in implementing workplace programme on HIV/AIDS in 10 countries in east and central Africa, and at WFP headquarters in Rome. We are the agency that trains all UN staff in Kenya through partnership with the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON). We have also been working with communities in the coastal areas, Nairobi and Lake Victoria areas in western Kenya.

We have been working in partnership with international NGOs such as Engender Health, PATH, FHI, and also the government of Kenya to promote adoption of appropriate reproductive health practices and increase their utilization of available health services. Our activities have covered the coastal areas, western Kenya and Nairobi.
